Prayers
Prayer
has got tremendous potentialities of healing, soothing, tranquilising and
rejuvenating capabilities. To get the
best benefits, one has to have unshakeable complete faith in the prayer.
Then
follows full involvement in the prayer automatically. The desire to pray should come from
within. There can’t and should not be
any compulsion for reciting prayer.
These
prayers are universal in nature. They
are beyond any specific faith, sect or religion, because faith, sect or
religion could be different, but, God can’t be.
What you want to call him or her is immaterial.
They
are meant for the well being of entire humanity. The first prayer is devoted to ‘Sun’, who
bestows life to all – animates and inanimate without any discrimination,
whatsoever.
The
second, third and fourth prayers are to express a benevolent wish for excellence
in all fields, gaining good health to everyone and seeking help to reach to
knowledge from the present position of ignorance.
The
fifth prayer is about the ideal relationship between the ‘Teacher’ and the
‘Taught’.
These
are very strong and effective prayers.
For
the help of people who can’t read Devanagari script or find it difficult
pronounce the words, the entire text is given in roman script with markings for
easy chanting. The specific vibration
created by the sound generated while praying makes the prayer more
effective. So, preferably the prayers
should be said the way they are mentioned.
Despite
that one can not pronounce the Sanskrut (Sanskrit) words, then, they can just
pray with the text words.
